Shopping on Hilton Head covers the range form very upscale to very conventional vacation ware. Even on this upscale island, a T-shirt sore managed to wedge its way into the retail scene among the Coligny shops.
Retail centers are largely found along William Hilton Parkway [US 278], Pope Avenue, Coligney Plaza at North Forest Beach, and at pro shops and racquet centers on the various residential plantations.
The island has hundreds of retail shops, which range from elegant boutiques and art galleries to an indoor mall with major department stores and specialty shops.
The Tanger I and II outlet centers, adjacent to one another, provide Hilton Head's single largest shopping experience. Their stores are listed below.
Besides making up your mind what you want to buy, the most difficult aspect of shopping on Hilton Head Island is finding the stores.
Local zoning ordinances require minimally invasive signage, which results in many successfully hidden brand names.
