Hallelujah Gullah Singers
The Hallelujah Singers were organized to preserve the melodies and storytelling unique to South Carolina's sea islands. The ensemble’s presentations celebrate the language and traditions the West African Gullah culture. Performances weave music and narration to dramatize the ritual and ceremonial dimensions that have shaped Gullah culture in the low country. 843-689-3445
Arts Center of Coastal Carolina
With a 349-seat main stage, the Arts Center produces musicals, comedies and dramas; and it hosts visiting performers, musicians, vocalists and other artists. "We are an arts community." 843-689-6767
Hilton Head Dance Theater
The non-profit Hilton Head Dance Theatre is dedicated to fostering interest in dance among low country residents and visitors. It is comprised of Hilton Head Dance School and the Dance Theatre. 843-842-3262
May River Theatre Company
The May River Theatre Company presents a variety of theatrical productions during the year at modest seat prices; it is located in Bluffton. 843-815-5581
Unlike some resort areas, Hilton Head Island is not overrun galleries foisting works of genuine and would-be artists on unsuspecting visitors. Indeed, given that the island's peak summer population rises to about 150,000 — from a permanent resident level of 35,000 — the gallery list is rather thin.
Hilton Head Arts League

4th Annual Arkhaios Film Festival
The Arkhaios 2016 Film Festival which was originally planned for October 20-22, 2016 has been rescheduled for December 1-3. The Festival will be held at the Coligny Theatre and tickets are available online through our event calendar or by calling the Museum at 843-689-6767, ext. 224. Tickets are $20 for a three day pass, $10 for one day, or $5 per film.

A project of the Save America's Treasures program, the Heyward House was built circa 1840 and is one of eight antebellum homes remaining in the low country town of Bluffton. It is an excellent example of the Carolina Farmhouse Style, with origins in the West Indies, and remains much as it has been for over 120 years. The Gullah Heritage is that of the West Africa-based system of traditions, customs, beliefs, art and family life that form the underpinnings of Carolina’s black low country culture. Two-hour tours, led by fourth generation Gullah, explore this fundamental aspect of Hilton Head Island’s history. 843-681-7066

This unit’s dynamic 13-member jazz ensemble presents exciting and uplifting music to inspire patriotism and tell the Air Force story.
