All about Hilton Head View

HiltonHeadView.com is an independent informational Web resource that focuses on the many recreational activities on and near Hilton Head Island, SC.

Why
We created HHV because most, if not all, of the other Web sites we found that were writing about the Hilton Head Island area were too narrowly focused on a single topic or two. And, in many cases, their sole reason for being was to sell you some thing or some place.

Providing good, accurate, useful information seemed to have occurred to those site developers as distant second thoughts.

We decided to change that, putting useful information that is easily and logically accessed at the top of our priority list.

This is not to suggest that we lack subjectivity in our selection of information; we don't. Indeed, we write only about the people, places and events that we believe are worthwhile and deserving of your time, energy and funds.

And we seek to provide a positive perspective without becoming an apologist. In most cases negative commentaries are absent. You know the admonition that "If you can't say something positive...," well, that's generally our approach.

Where
As a Web-based service, HHV is at once a resident of no state and of every state. We are geographically agnostic.

In our non-HHV life, we work for clients as remotely separated from us as California, Hong Kong and Germany. Some we have never met, yet have worked with for years using this magical technology. The same mindset applies to the management of HHV.

Our knowledge of and experience with Hilton Head dates back to Sea Pines' early days. We first visited the island in the very early 1970s, when people were still skeptical about the area's ultimate success as an upscale leisure retreat.

Today, we divide our time among three locations on the Atlantic coast: HHI, Boston and Maine.

When
We seek to keep HHV current, enhancing its value for repeat visitors. Some data, however, is "evergreen" and that remains largely unchanged. From time to time we will rewrite or add to standing subjects to increase their completeness.

HHV's front page, naturally, is the most nimble and changes regularly to alert visitors to upcoming events that we believe are valuable and worthy of your consideration.

If you believe a subject should be covered, but isn't, or one deserves greater attention send us a note and we will think about it.
